Lori has recently become active in PAWS New England, a non profit organization that rescues unwanted, abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high kill shelters and works to educate the public about the need to spay and neuter pets to prevent over population. She will be performing at their very first fundraiser on Friday, May 8th, at the Norwood Elks in Norwood, MA.
"It's a great organization and I am very glad to be a part if it. I love animals! My dog, Max, is a rescue dog and we are so glad to have him in our lives. Check him out on the Pictures Tab on my website."

Update from February 2008: Lori and duet partner, Johnny Bubar, went to Nashville to try out for a new reality TV show called "Can You Duet" which was on CMT this past Spring. There were 3,500 people who showed up to try out, and they only chose 90 people to move forward to the next round. Lori and Johnny were part of the chosen few to return to Nashville, all expenses paid by CMT, to try out again for the actual show. They did not get picked for the final show, but she met a lot of great and talented people that she keeps in touch with still today. She also had a chance to visit some record labels and drop off some CD's while in Nashville. She is hoping to set up some meetings with them when she returns.
